wildflowers

(from May 29, 2012)

These were taken back in May on the morning of the day I had to ship back my D800 camera rental. I had to get in a few last shots with it! Unfortunately, I was by myself, and the ground was pretty muddy (and Caroline wasn't a walker at this point - I had her on my hip most of the time), so it was quite a challenge!

These were the girls' Easter dresses...

evening at the splash pad

(from May 18, 2012)

These were taken on an evening when we met another family from our church LifeGroup for dinner and playing in the fountains. We stayed for the show, where the fountains are "choreographed" to a few songs. Kate loved the music and showed us some new dance moves...

PS- You can tell this was before I got my camera fixed on a couple of these, but I'm sharing anyway!

Caroline's Dedication

I need to go back quite a ways to start catching up on the blog. Let's go back 5 months to Caroline's dedication at church... March 5.

I held Kate during the dedication, and she was SUCH a wiggle worm. During the prayer she was doing everything in her power to get out of my arms. Glad we have the video, because I really couldn't pay attention at the time! Also, Kate spotted Granddaddy down in the audience and started yelling, "Helloooo down there!" repeatedly to our family. Caroline did great. ;)

And a few photos taken outside the restaurant where we had brunch after the service.

"Mastering Natural Light Indoors" week four

Last week was the final week for my lighting course through Clickin' Moms. What a great experience and a push to grow technically and creatively.

There are definitely times I wish the girls were a little older so they would hold still and let me position them, but we'll be there soon enough! I'm pushing my luck with Kate as it is... she said to me the other day, "Mama, stop picturing!" I guess I'll have to take what I can get.

This first one was the one I submitted for my assignment.
