| {GIRLS' GETAWAY} Coming to you from the Magnolia Hotel in downtown Dallas tonight. I'm with our church life group... we moms left our husbands to hold down the forts while we enjoyed a day (and tonight) off. I'll be glad to see my two sweeties tomorrow morning! |

| {little adventurer} seeks mud, poison ivy, and the perfect walking stick. hopefully I kept her out of the poison ivy. **update** apparently I did NOT keep her out of the poison ivy. |

| {cookies 'n milk} Kate had her very first "from scratch" chocolate chip cookie today. I was SO excited when I saw that the chocolate chips I bought were dairy free. I used Crisco instead of butter and substituted the 2 tablespoons of milk called for with soy milk. You can tell Kate had fun with her dessert! |

| {the best time of day} Our favorite time of day is when Daddy comes home. For this little girl, it means getting chased around the house with the ball popper, giggling and squealing. |

| {nesting} Today I triple washed Kate's hand-me-down newborn clothes for Caroline. Kate was quite the spitter-upper, and somehow those stains darkened during their (short) time in storage. Triple washing may have been excessive, but the nesting instinct isn't always rational! |
