Am I a horrible mother that this photo makes me laugh??
I promise Kate wasn't sad; she was just frustrated. She loves buckles right now and enjoys trying to put them together by herself. She's just not successful very often. It's hard for tiny hands!

{now I know my ABCs}
Kate is letter-obsessed. She points to letters everywhere, and if she doesn't know one, she usually guesses C or P. She can now name (or identify) most of the alphabet. I'm a proud mama!

| {soaked!} We had a family dinner at my parents' house this evening with my brothers' families. Kate didn't get in the kiddie pool, yet she somehow ended up soaking wet. It was a good thing we shopped at the outlets right before dinner, otherwise we wouldn't have had a change of clothes for the girl. She had a great time with her cousins! |

Kate is SOOOO into letters these days! She points to them everywhere, wanting to know the name of each. There are even a few that she will (usually) name correctly!

Used my iPhone (Instagram app w/ tilt shift) to snap this image of Kate looking out the kitchen window today. And, yes, she is proudly sporting a measuring tape around her neck. After I had it out this morning, she had to have it, then wouldn't let go of it!

{family outing}
Caroline and I joined Nick and Kate at the neighborhood pool this afternoon. Daddy snagged us a great spot in complete shade, and there was a nice breeze, too. It was fun to be able to join them for a little while!
